The Community Website for The Park Ecovillage, Findhorn
Annie Crawford
A little from me: I moved from Edinburgh 10 years ago to live on The Park (Centini owner). My professional background is in Youth and Community Education and Speech and Language Therapy, both of which involved working closely with people and in teams. I released my working life for health reasons and followed my creative heart. I am involved with both FF and Community and I have been a committed volunteer in Visitors Center for 3 years, which I love.
I knew one day I would stand for NFA Council and I feel inspired from the New Story Summit. This feels an exciting time in community and I am particularly interested in how to include, integrate our diversity so that everyone can feel a sense of belonging and connection, whatever form that takes.
I feel I have a clear sense of many of the issues and challenges that exists and I am motivated, inspired and passionate about creating a joyful, vibrant, connected community whereby we have a sense of who we all are, what we do and what makes our heart sing. The shadow side of life here also has it’s place in bringing cohesion and connection and I feel able, willing and open to engage with that. My spiritual path is one of continuing to follow the words of Eileen and listen to the ‘still small voice within’.
I love singing, poetry, playing guitar, making theater, and my beautiful dog Morrigan fills my heart and often lifts me from those hard times. I am excited, curious, passionate and naturally a bit fearful to step into this role :-).
